It has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, U.S. Vice President for Chevrolet marketing that production of the Camaro Convertible will begin in early 2011.

The new 2010 Camaro coupe has been in a neck-and-neck battle for sales supremacy with the 2010 Ford Mustang, which unlike the Chevy has had two body styles in the lineup – the coupe and a convertible.

Personally I think the Camaro has captured the modern-day-muscle-car look with a bit more finesse than the Mustang, but to be honest either would look good parked in our driveway.

On display at the recent German Grand Prix at Hockenheim was this chrome-dipped Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gt3.

The blinged-out Merc was rolled out by the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, an organization that promotes athletics as a remedy for youth issues. Among others, Mercedes-Benz is a supporter of the foundation and the livery is also featured on a DTM C-Class touring car.
