Believe it or not it is quite normal for a brake shudder to return even after a few weeks of driving. Normal but very annoying! One way to pinpoint the problem is to remove the front wheels and set up a fixed point close to the rotor (1 or 2mm away) and rotate the rotor and visually check for any changes to this measurement.

I don&#039;t think the problem is related to the bearings as they will make a hell of a noise before being worn enough to allow any play in the wheel. 

If you are feeling the shudder through the steering wheel when braking, particularly on light applications of the brake I would almost bet that the rotors will be slightly warped and need a skim to get things back to normal again.

I bought the $100 Silverline special from Repco that included 2 front rotors, 2 sets of pads and fluid. Started getting shudder again after a few months, although it seemed to be ok at the start. Do you think these new rotors are now also warped, or do you think it could be a problem in the bearings. The EF rotor and hub are together.
