Could be for any number of reasons: 1. They can't afford it 2. They don't want to pay it 3. They just don't like the hassle and paperwork 4. They "haven't thought about it" 5. They figure being forced to pay car insurance is, like paying taxes, "violating their freedoms" And I'm sure a lot of these people manage to get by just fine without it - no one ever finds out their vehicles are uninsured. But some of these folks do get found out - maybe when they get into an accident, for instance. And then they'd wish they did have it. Getting car insurance is definitely worth it - just make sure you get the good coverage. Even if you are the best driver in the world, lots of people aren't. And if you ever do get into an accident, insurance can really save your wallet. Yeah, some people don’t insure their cars. Could be for any number of reasons:
